Posting Summary: The Operations Assistant for Men's Soccer position exists to provide a high level of operational and logistical support to the Intercollegiate Athletic sport program of Men's Soccer and to assist in achieving a nationally recognized program, both on and off the field, in a manner that meets all guidelines set by the University of Virginia, the ACC, and the NCAA. Responsibilities include: exemplary customer service to internal and external constituencies; providing operational and logistical support to the Head Men's Soccer Coach, Coaching staff and student-athletes as requested; supporting operational and game day needs; providing game day technical support; preparing statistical spreadsheets and performing other analytics; and performing other duties as assigned that support or add value to, the goals and objectives of the unit.
This is a restricted term position with an anticipated end date 1 year from the start date. Continuation in the position will be evaluated annually.

Required Minimum Level of Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to be flexible in terms of work schedule to accommodate the gameday and events schedule. Ability to prepare spreadsheets, provide information and perform operational functions. Ability to communicate accurately and in an effective manner - spoken and written. Ability to develop good working relationships with all internal and external constituencies.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations for the sport of Men's Soccer.
Required Computer Applications: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is required.
Preferred Computer Applications: Strong preference for experience in SportsCode, Prozone, InStat, and Coaches Paint applications.
