Jamestown Coating Technologies is leader in the development, production and service of industrial coatings for OEM. Founded in 1885, Jamestown Coatings is headquartered in Jamestown, PA and sells coatings in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
The regional sales representative is responsible for servicing and retaining customer accounts within a specified geographic territory. The regional sales representative will be responsible for growing both existing business year-over-year and developing new accounts within the geographic territory. The regional sales representative will work exclusively for Jamestown Coating Technologies unless otherwise authorized to do so. The regional sales representative is expected to: ? Maintain regular contact with customers to promptly satisfy their needs and identify new opportunities ? In conjunction with the Jamestown Coatings’ R&D laboratory, offer sound product and application recommendations ? Execute account-by-account strategies to maximize customers’ sales potential ? Maintain sales call logs and submit monthly reports to President ? Develop sales territory business plans ? Work with Jamestown Coatings’ corporate office to manage customer credit ? Develop a thorough understanding of the customer base and various market segments that Jamestown Coatings engages ? Work with Jamestown Coatings’ corporate office to deliver timely price quotations to achieve company margin targets ? Avoid needed expenditures by carefully managing personal expenses
The regional sales representative should achieve the following objectives:
? Demonstrates how Jamestown’s products can help achieve customer objectives
? Establishes collaborative relationships with various customer stakeholders including, management/ownership, operations, purchasing, environmental, etc. ? Quickly ascertains pricing targets ? Anticipates customer needs ? Uses knowledge of the customer’s industry to guide decisions ? Becomes familiar with competitive product offerings and can speak to Jamestown’s superiority ? Leverages customer relationships to maintain margins ? Actively seeks and pursues referrals
The requirements for the regional sales representative position are: ? Minimum 10 years experience in Industrial Coatings Sales or Customer Service ? Valid U.S. driver’s license and U.S. passport ? Availability to work and travel within assigned territory 75% of the time, including evenings and overnight trips. ? Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and Internet applications
Additional Salary Information: Base salary plus commission. Competitive benefits package
