Product Manager – Software/IT –(1803358) Southfield, MI or Whitehouse, OH
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to lead a team responsible for sustaining current software, as well as defining and building future paint, color & related software solutions with a focus on the customer experience. This role has global responsibilities including collaborating with other regions to ensure the software and hardware products and services will meet the needs of every region.
This position will lead the North American region efforts; it will be a cross-functional role working closely with sales, technical lab, finance, and the executive team to bring innovative solutions to market and develop and grow business opportunities. This position also has leadership responsibility for managing the system architecture, the software development team, and the quality assurance team.
This position supervises the delivery of all electronic products to be produced by the group as well as manage the third-party contracts that are responsible for providing help desk services, training and hardware for our customers. This position will require a forward looking individual with the ability to deal with ambiguity, define strategy, and can create a path forward for eBusiness initiatives globally.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Formula for Success
· Leveraging your Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or Marketing you will lead an experienced and driven team and manage a portfolio of software.
· Utilizing your understanding of the automotive refinish market you will ensure customer needs are met and create the best customer experience possible.
· Using your experience in Project Management you will effectively set deadlines, prioritize projects, and coordinate the needs of different regions.
· Your understanding of global business will help to ensure the products meet the needs of each region.
· You will apply your experience in developing software to ensure the development team is efficient and effective.
· Utilizing your effective communication skills and business mindset, you will negotiate business support services and delivery agreements with third party business partners, including computer hardware & software products.
